On Friday Sept. 28th, we had guest speaker Belen Godwin, executive director for Blueskies Wellness, Inc. Blueskies Wellness Inc., (BSW) was conceived by Belen Godwin in 2006 while collecting research in pursuit of her PhD in Educational Psychology. After hearing the experiences of a close relative who was bullied because of a speech impediment, she was determined to study the effects of bullying and ways to prevent it.
The information she acquired on the processes that defuse academic progress in many school age children inspired her to find a solution, particularly in the case of bullying.
BSW was incorporated as a non-profit charitable organization in the state of Massachusetts on May 3rd, 2011 and is affiliated with the Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) in southern New Hampshire.
