The Methuen Fire Department is on the front lines delivering care and working to overcome challenges to care delivery. There is an increase in demand and in the cost for crucial medical supplies to keep staff and the wider community safe.

Rotary District 7930 received a $25,000 Disaster Response Grant for Covid-19 from The Rotary Foundation. The Rotary Foundation Disaster Response Grant for COVID-19 was established to help equip front line clinical staff with critical Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in response to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, making it possible for teams to have the resources they need, when they need them most. Rotary District 7930 was awarded $25,000.00 with $15,625.00 of the grant monies providing PPE to various care provider facilities and $9375 providing PPE for Police/Fire Departments and First Responders across the North Shore, Greater Boston area, Greater Salem NH area, and the Merrimack Valley.

We recognize how the situation with COVID-19 is rapidly changing our lives. As together we navigate the unique realities of the day, we are truly grateful for the opportunity to partner with Methuen Fire Department  via The Rotary Foundation Disaster Response Grant for Covid-19.

This grant has specifically helped with the purchase of  880 N95 masks that  serve to equip firefighters  on the visits needing precautions during the pandemic.

It all comes down to being prepared – thank you to Rotary District 7930 for needed resources that allow Methuen Rotary Club  to give the Methuen Fire Department the ability to prepare.
